Oye Hassan-Odukale, MFR, Managing Director/CEO Leadway Assurance Co. Ltd.

In addition to his leadership role at Leadway Assurance, Nigeria's largest indigenously owned insurance company, Mr. Hassan-Okukale is the current Chairman of the Nigerian Insurers Association and has served on the Federal Government of Nigeria's Committee for the Review of Insurance Laws. Educated in the United States at the University of Houston, Mr. Hassan-Odukale went on to be the first West African recipient of the Munich-Re Fellowship at Georgia State University. Mr. Hassan-Okukale joined SCIB & Company Insurance Brokers (an affiliate of Sedgwick Insurance) in 1980 and joined Leadway in 1981. In 1994 he became Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer.
